Steak Tartar's Story
Meet Steak Tartar.
Tar was a stray from New Haven who found himself in a pickle. His feeder noticed one day that his face was swollen and he was walking with a limp. Tar let her pick him up and put him right in a carrier. He is the nicest boy around.
Once vetted we found that his injuries are likely due to trauma, most likely hit by car.
Today, Steak is thriving. No longer limping, face is healed. He does have a permanent crocked jaw and squinty eye but neither slow him down, they just add to his charm.
Steak is so affectionate and will sleep in bed with you, follow you to the bathroom, and roll around. He loves head, chin, and belly scratches. He would so well in almost any home.
He is currently fostered and gets along with dogs and cats although he cares more about the humans. He would love a home with lots of love and play.
