Squirt's Story
Hi, I'm Squirt
I was born in a cozy garage with my four siblings and my mama, Spooky--a sweet black cat who showed up one Halloween and decided this was a safe place to stay. She took good care of us, and when we were old enough, we were brought inside so we wouldn't have to grow up outside. That's when my journey to finding a forever home really began.

All of my siblings found their families pretty quickly... except for me. And then something unexpected happened--my brother Chubbs' adoption fell through, too. It turned out to be a blessing in disguise, because we became inseparable. We did everything together--sleeping curled up side by side, playing, keeping each other company. He was my best friend.

But life changed again when Chubbs got sick and passed away. Since then, I've been a little more quiet and unsure. I miss him very much. Even so, I still have so much love to give.

Once I feel safe, I'm incredibly affectionate. My purr motor? Oh, it never stops--especially if you scratch under my chin or near my ears. I love curling up in laps, making biscuits, and giving little kitty kisses. I promise, I'll be your sweetest companion.

I've been living in a home with dogs, and to be honest... they're just not my thing. I tend to stay tucked away where it's quiet and calm. What I really dream of is a peaceful home where I can relax, feel safe, and be loved--no chasing, no chaos, just comfort.

I enjoy my scratching posts and cat trees, and I'm very well-mannered--I've never missed the litter box!

I might be a little shy at first, but if you give me time and patience, I'll show you just how loving I can be. I've been through a lot, and I'm ready for my next chapter--a forever home where I can feel safe, loved, and never alone again.

Could that be with you? šInterested in adopting a companion cat from Texas Animal Society?
Please email info@texasanimalsociety.com and complete online adoption application at texasanimalsociety.org
Come visit our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/www.texasanimalsociety.org/
