Squid's Story

Meet Squid — professional goofball, amateur genius, and certified Baby Bat

Squid and his brother Ink, both born in 2025, are two tiny boneded bat cats on a very important mission: to fly directly into your heart and then immediately fall asleep there.

In the shelter, these boys are soft, gentle little creatures—quiet, snuggly, and happiest curled up together like a pair of fuzzy question marks. Squid especially leans into the “sweet, slightly confused angel” vibe. He’s just a touch braver than his brother… and also just a *touch* dumber. (We say that with love.) This is a kitten who once tried to eat a Churu and could not, for the life of him, determine where the snack ended and the tube began. A thinker. A visionary.

But here’s the thing—we know there’s more to Squid.

Once he’s home, safe, and feeling himself? This little bat is going to SPREAD THOSE WINGS. (Ears. Definitely ears.) We fully expect Squid and Ink to transform into airborne chaos gremlins—zooming down hallways, ricocheting off furniture, and living their very best high-speed lives before dramatically collapsing into a cuddle puddle.

Squid is, at his core, a gentle, affectionate boy who wants a cozy home, a soft place to land, and a human who appreciates a little silliness mixed in with their sweetness. He loves his brother deeply, and the two of them will always be found snuggled together after their nightly “flight practice.”

These baby bats are ready to roost in your home—all they need is some love, some treats, and a nice open runway (living room) for takeoff.

Adopt Squid (and Ink). Your house is about to get a whole lot cuter… and significantly faster.
