Squeaky's Story

Meet Squeaky, a beefy, big-hearted gentleman with a soft spot for snuggles and a talent for stealing laps.

At 8 years old, Squeaky settles into a new home like he’s been living there his whole life. Within no time, he’s mapped out the coziest nap spots, introduced himself to every human, and claimed his rightful place…curled up on your chest. He’s the kind of cat who doesn’t just like affection, he requires it. Bedtime? Non-negotiable. Squeaky fully expects to be your nightly cuddle companion.

This chonky charmer is as social as they come. There’s not a person he’s met that he doesn’t try to make his own, usually with a confident plop straight into their lap. He’s outgoing, adaptable, and carries himself like a sweet, chill little romantic…complete with soulful amber eyes and a deep appreciation for chin scratches.

Squeaky is also a fantastic companion for other pets and people alike. He’s lived with multiple cats and does great with them, and he’s wonderful with kids. His history with dogs is unknown, so slow introductions would be best there.

And then there’s his look…slightly crossed eyes, one adorably wonky ear, and a whole lot of personality packed into one very handsome face. He’s equal parts distinguished and delightfully goofy.

Squeaky recently had a full dental where he lost 14 teeth (he’s feeling much better for it!) and had bloodwork done, which showed he’s a healthy boy. He’s currently on a weight loss journey and is looking for a family who will help him continue slimming down in a safe, supportive way…think portion control, some playtime, and lots of encouragement for this lovable beefy stud.

Squeaky is FIV+, which is not considered special needs. Cats with FIV can live long, happy, normal lives as long as they’re kept indoors and receive routine veterinary care. They can also live safely with other cat-friendly cats. Learn more here: https://www.denverkittens.org/post/fiv-what-is-it

Squeaky’s adoption fee ($125) includes:
• Neuter
• Dewormer
• FeLV testing
• Microchip
• Core vaccines
• A free 30-day subscription to Petcademy (24/7 cat behavior support!)
• A free exam at a ChewyVet clinic + a $50 Chewy gift card

If you’re looking for a cuddly, affectionate, slightly wonky, and wonderfully squishy best friend who will love you deeply and insist on sleeping by your side every night, Squeaky is ready to move in and make himself at home…on your lap, your chest, and your heart.

To meet Squeaky, submit an application at denverkittens.org/adopt

Denver Kittens's Adoption Policy
1) Fill out an adoption application. Please note: we do not track special requests. If you have a specific breed you're looking for, please sign up for our enews (below) or follow us on social media to keep an eye on our cats/kittens as they come into rescue. Kittens must be adopted in pairs or to homes that already have another young cat. No exceptions. 2) If the cat/kitten you want to adopt is available, and we think you're a good match, we'll reach out to you to set up a meet and greet. This will typically happen within 24 hours. 3) The in-person meet and greet in the foster home is usually scheduled within 1-3 days. Setting up a meet-and-greet does not put a "hold" on a kitty. They are considered adoptable until the adoption fee is paid. 4) If it's a match, the adoption is finalized by signing an adoption contract and paying the adoption fee. All fosters need to be spayed/neutered before going home, so, especially for kittens, you may need to wait a few days or a few weeks, depending on where they're at in that process. Once the pet is ready to go home, please be prepared to pick it up within 24 hours. 5) Pickup will be scheduled. Kitty must be picked up within 24 hours of finalized adoption.
