Sputnik's Story

Sputnik DSH brown tabby and white Male Approx Date of Birth: 10/01/2025 Sputnik was caught along with his siblings Comet and Aaron Rodgers, in a NE Grand Rapids neighborhood. Residents had been seeing them for a bit (they had been born to feral cats) and waiting until around 12 weeks old to bring them inside. As such, they were a bit skittish and not very handleable when they were transferred to one of our socialization fosters. These fosters did a great job and Comet and Sputnik were moved to the Happy Cat Cafe in hopes of finding their forevers. Sputnik was the favorite of his foster family. He might take a little time to adjust to a new environment but he will become a cuddly, loving companion, guaranteed! Location: Happy Cat Cafe (visit happycatgr.com for more information) Medical: All cats are spayed/neutered, current on age appropriate vaccines (rabies and distemper), microchipped, given flea/tick prevention and dewormer, FIV/FeLV tested, and any other veterinary care that is needed prior to adoption. ~We do not adopt to homes with animals who are not spayed or neutered unless there is a valid reason such as vet recommendation. ~We do check references including landlord if you rent and your vet both past and present. ~We do not adopt to homes that plan on declawing the cat we have adopted out to you or that plan on letting a cat outside (unless on a leash and harness under owner's continued observation). ~If we see something on your application that we are concerned about, we will always try and have a conversation with you to find out the why. We understand you might have declawed a cat in the past or had to rehome an animal. It can happen to anyone. We like to dig deeper and won't deny someone just based on surface information.
