Sprinter (FIV+)'s Story

Please meet Sprinter. He is a recent arrival who is slowly getting used to his new environment. He is learning to trust the volunteers and responds very positively to attention. You must approach him slowly, but he enjoys head scratches and especially gentle belly rubs. Sprinter will need patience and TLC but he shows so much promise to be an appreciative and loving companion. Sprinter is coexisting very well with his roommates. Consider opening your heart and home to handsome Sprinter. Sprinter is 4 years old, neutered, vaccinated, negative for FeLV, litter trained and microchipped. Sprinter is positive for FIV but please don’t let this deter you from considering him for adoption. FIV+ cats can live long and happy lives. FIV cats can reside with dogs without any concern. FIV+ cats can reside with other friendly cats who are either FIV + or FIV-. FIV is transmitted only through deep bite wounds, typically during mating. Visit us at our Dog Adoption Center located at 901 Nestle Way, Breinigsville 18031 PA Kennel License #8356 DOG Open Hours – Saturdays 10am – 2pm PLEASE NOTE: *Dog adoptions will not take place during this timeframe. Applications will only be taken. We do not pre-approve our dog applications. *Please keep your current dogs at home! *Please do your best to have ALL (human) members of the household present to meet the dogs. *You may experience long waits as we work with everyone…we are all volunteers and sometimes short staffed, so your patience is appreciated. *Please direct inquiries to dogadoptions@thesanctuarypa.org only if you cannot make it out on a Saturday.
