Spot (Light on Poindexter)'s Story

Goofy, cuddly, by-your-side teen. Ready to run your house... and steal your spot.

: Our teen tuxedo goofball

He's a by-your-side, in-your-face, on-your-lap kind of love. But this boy is also ridiculously goofy... like tries to collect a “toll” at the staircase from everyone — humans, cats, dogs — who dare pass here. He wants to star in every video meeting. He sends emails from your laptop if you forget to close it. Total troublemaker. Then he'll follow you room to room, no matter the room you're heading into... he has no concept of purrsonal space. Luckily he will melt into a puddle the second you scratch his head, so you can inCATpacitate him.

Poindexter's love language is “part of the action.” But remember all the things we tell you about the benefits of having a teen... we'll forget those... he will still parkour off walls as he comes tearing down the stairs to play. He adores other cats — he just thinks they'd benefit from his playing his games. And doesn't quite understand when someone doesn't want to. He would thrive with a young, playful buddy. Maybe his sister Olivia if you want double the fun, she's definitely used to his antics.

Great with dogs who don't mind a friendly head-bop hello from the self-appointed boot camp trainer. He means well — he's just a teen with big feelings and zero chill.

Amazing with respectful kids who can handle cuddles and comedy. He's truly the purrfect kitty for a laughter-filled home.

Status: Available. Comes pre-loaded with purrsonality, purrs, and a full season of sitcom episodes. Truly the purrfect kitty for an ... let's say active family.

You can see more pictures and videos of our fosters on our facebook page: Sophia L'Orange Kitten Rescue

All of our adoptable animals are cared for and assessed in foster homes (we do not have a shelter), up to date on age appropriate vaccinations and have been spayed or neutered and tested for FeLV/FIV, before they are adopted. They have had de-worming medication as a standard of care and Flea/Tick/Ear Mite preventive treatment. Medical records will be released with the adopted pet.

Sophia L'Orange Kitten Rescue's Adoption Policy
We require all potential adopters to complete an online form. Once received, we review in entirety. We then contact your vet and verify provided information. We will check references, and we contact your landlord, if you rent. Once we have completed the checks, we schedule a virtual visit interview so that we can get to know you and your family and so that you can visit with the kitty in an environment in which they feel safe to see how they may fit into your home and ask any questions of their foster. If everything checks out and we all agree on which cat the adopter is interested in, we set an adoption date based on the cat's status. On or just before adoption da, we send out our contract and medical records to the adopter. We ask that payment is either via Paypal, check, or cash.
