Spooner's Story
Hello everyone! My name is Spooner and I am about 8 years old. I am such a handsome, photogenic guy, don’t you think? I’m a bit timid when it comes to other humans and usually prefer some personal space. My caretakers always tell me how far I've come since arriving here. I love mealtimes and snacks- I will even eat snacks right out of your hand! I am still warming up to humans but once I create a special bond with you, I will gladly accept pets, but it usually takes me some time so I would just need that special someone to take a chance on me :) Not to brag about how amazing I am, but I’ve also made a huge contribution to veterinary medicine by being a blood donor and have helped save many animal lives! Isn’t that awesome?! My caretakers think that it's about time that I lived out my retirement in a fur-ever home with my own special person or family. I am great with other cats so I should do very well if there are other resident cats in the home. I don’t have a history of living with dogs and/or little children, but based on my personality, my caretakers think that I would do best in a home without little children. I could do well with older children as long as they respect my personal space. I could potentially do well with a dog, but my caretakers are not certain. If you are interested in meeting me, please contact my caretakers to set up an appointment time in person or through Zoom. I hope you’ll fall in love with me!

I am litter box trained, neutered, and up to date on all my vaccinations.

My adoption fee is a suggested donation of $25 (or more) to the Capital Area Humane Society in my name. Here is the link to where you can make that donation online: https://interland3.donorperfect.net/weblink/weblink.aspx?name=cahsad&id=23
