Spooky's Story

Spooky is a handsome large white and black cat with unique markings reminiscent of a Holstein cow, making him truly one of a kind. He came to us due to his owner experiencing life changes and being unable to continue his care.

While Spooky has a calm and thoughtful demeanor, he is also a friendly cat who enjoys attention and companionship once he feels comfortable. He has a gentle presence and would make a wonderful, easygoing addition to the right home.

Spooky would thrive in a stable environment where he can settle in at his own pace. With a little time and reassurance, he is sure to become a loyal and loving companion who brings both comfort and charm to his new family. He will be vaccinated at the next vet visit 4/16/26

Humane Society of Harrison County's Adoption Policy
An adoption application MUST be completed prior to an adoption. This document can be found on our web page www.hshc-paws.org at the bottom of the webpage under quick links. We will need time to process these applications, so if you are coming from out of town, please send them in ahead of your visit. Animals too young for spaying or neutering may NOT be adopted outside of Harrison County, and we can not respond to inquiries asking for exceptions. No pet that has not been altered will be adopted outside of our county due to Texas State law requiring all pets to be altered that come from a shelter or rescue. If they are to young we will adopt out locally so they can be brought back for surgery when they are old enough. Dog adoptions are $100 plus a $50.00 deposit for a spay/neuter surgery. Total adoption fee $150.00. Once the surgery is completed and we receive paperwork back from the veterinarian's office, we will refund you back your deposit. Cat adoptions are $65.00 plus a $35.00 deposit for a spay/neuter surgery. Total adoption fee $100.00. Once the surgery is completed and we receive paperwork back from the veterinarian's office, we will refund you back your deposit.
