This helps avoid "Tarzan syndrome" where single kittens become difficult because they have no one to play with and bite them back. <br/><br/>This can become quite challenging to manage as they age- and is often a reason people desire to surrender cats later.<br/><br/>Alternatively, people who only desire one, usually end up wanting a second cat within a few months to a year- and it's always easier to start with cats that already know each other.
