Spenser's Story

Spenser is a sweet neutered boy who was turned into Animal Control with an old fracture to his right hind leg. PAWS will get him fixed up; either an amputation or if possible, pins and a plate (we're talking at least $10,000) but we need your help to make that happen. Dr. Klement is treating him for now, but he'll have to see a Reno surgeon for the surgery. Please consider donating for his care! He's worth it. Such a sweet boy.

Plumas Animal Welfare Society (PAWS)'s Adoption Policy
PAWS has an application to be completed prior to adoption approval. If you are renting your home, we require verification from your landlord that cats are allowed. Our policy is not to adopt to anyone who declaws or who does not spay or neuter their pets. Our adoption fee is $50 for a spayed or neutered cat. If the cat or kitten has not been spayed or neutered, the fee is $100 with $50 refunded when we receive proof the animal has been altered. We do the first FVRCP vaccinations as well. We do take cats back if for some reason the situation does not work out.
