April 7th, 2026 Spartan is now at the Pet Valu, 1550 Upper James St in Hamilton. An adoption co ordinator will be in touch<br/>Spartan was surrendered to us mid March - his owner was unable to afford his care. She had her own cats to care for and she had taken him from her brother. He had ear mites and hadn't been neutered as he was a cryptorchid ie his testes hadn't descended and it was substantially more to have him neutered. He went to our vet where he was flea treated, dewormed, received his FVCRP and rabies vaccines, microchipped and neutered - ( he had a groin incision). The area behind his ears was raw from him scratching so the area was clipped, cleaned with antibacterial solution, his ears were then thoroughly cleaned and special drops were applied to treat the earmites. He received a long acting antibiotic injection as well. Now that his 10 days of ear drops have been completed, his ears have been recleaned and he is ready to find his new home. His adoption fee is $250. Spartan is a non stop purr machine who just wants love and cuddles. He loves to be brushed, hang out with his foster mom's other cats, play with all his toys and just be loved. He would be great with older children as he is very chilled. He would probably do well with proper introduction with another cat friendly feline or on his own as boss. AVA has an indoor and no declaw policy.
