SPAGHETTI SQUASH's Story
We don't know how long two-year-old Spaghetti Squash had been living outdoors, but the fun and games quickly ended for him when he messed with the wrong cats! After being caught picking fights with them, their owner wrangled up the spicy, ginger intruder, and brought him to HSWC. To say Spaghetti Squash was unhappy about it is an understatement! He would much rather be a playground bully picking on others and stealing their lunch than be here in a kennel where his food is delivered to him twice daily by humans who tell him he's so cute. But he did the crime, and he's been serving his time. In his 143 days here, Spaghetti Squash has made huge improvements in his behavior, though he's still fond of grabbing people and objects with his claws. This may be rectified by being in a home environment and having more appropriate ways to expend some of his energy, such as a scratching post. He's also VERY motivated by food. Spaghetti Squash has several adoption options available. They are: 1) A regular adoption as a pet with someone willing to take on a little spice 2) A working cat adoption with someone who will provide him food, water, and shelter while he patrols your barn/garage/warehouse/greenhouse or other suitable structure 3) A regular adoption as an indoor/outdoor cat If you're interested in giving this cute-but-not-yet-cuddly guy a forever home, please come meet him today! He's been waiting a long time, and he's ready to try his hand at being a good boy. We don't know if Spaghetti Squash has lived with dogs before. We recommend slow introductions. Spaghetti Squash would likely do best with older children, teens, and adults who understand that he may scratch and will respect his boundaries. Spaghetti Squash is not recommended to go to a home with other cats. He likes to start fights over food. Spaghetti Squash is 2 years old and weighs about 12 pounds (we told you he loves his food!). He's neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, ear-tipped, and ready to go home TODAY!
