Sous Chef (FeLV)'s Story

Sous Chef is very affectionate, begs for scritches, and can't stand still when attention comes.

Sous is a talker and very social. Starts jumping around to get attention as soon as she sees me. Athletic but NOT slim..... she is a nice and solid gal. Eats well and likes her ball toys and springs. Her ball is in her water dish every morning. She enjoys heights and is definitely a tree dweller at heart.

Her foster family says, "Sous is a nice cat, and I think would be good with kids."

Special note: Sous Chef tested positive for the Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV). This means she needs a special home environment to keep her healthy and happy.

Here's what you need to know about FeLV:

FeLV is a virus that weakens a cat's immune system, making them more susceptible to other illnesses. It is NOT contagious to humans or other animals besides cats. FeLV+ cats can live long and happy lives with proper care, including regular veterinary checkups, a nutritious diet, and a stress-free environment. We recommend speaking with your vet before deciding to adopt a FeLV+ cat.

Learn more about this cat and The Feline Connection, and apply to adopt them on The Feline Connection's website: https://www.thefelineconnection.org/cats-seeking-homes/

---ABOUT THE FELINE CONNECTION---
The Feline Connection 501(c)(3) is a foster-driven cat rescue in the Rutland, VT area. The Feline Connection's Adoption Policy
The Feline Connection champions for cats who need homes and we are committed to finding each cat a safe and healthy permanent home. We work to find the best possible home matches for each of our stray, homelss or friendly colony cats based on their unique needs, and the needs of the adopter. We do not have a shelter location, so all of our animals are fostered with families in Rutland County, Vermont, mostly near Rutland. This gives us a unique capability to observe and interact with each cat in a relaxed home environment. Our conversation based adoption process starts with submitting an application followed by a conversation, vet and landlord check (if needed), and then cats visits and home visits as needed for the perfect match. Pictures of the cat’s new home are always welcome. Visit us at http://www.thefelineconnection.org/ for more details
