Soup Dumpling's Story

Meet Soup Dumpling (aka Soup)! We are so very proud of this little girl. She came to her foster parents so scared and nervous that she refused to leave her crate or cubby when there was someone else in the room. Then one day, she built up the courage to come say hi to her foster mom and she's been a love bug ever since! Believe us, taking the time to gain her trust is so worth it and so rewarding. Now she greets her foster parents at the door, struts around for the biggest pets, makes so many air biscuits, plays fetch with her favorite toy mouse, chases her tail, and produces the loudest purrs.

Soup will need someone who is patient and willing to take the time to gain her trust and comfort. It took a few months for her to get comfortable with her foster parents, so we anticipate it being the same for anyone new. She would probably also do best in a household without children, as she still gets a little jumpy if you move too quickly. Soup is truly a delight. She's beautiful, playful, and even sounds like a little Yoshi when she greets you.

Soup is not currently being fostered with another cat, but she is gentle and may be able to acclimate to another kitty with proper introductions.

Soup is estimated to be about 1.5 years old. She is spayed, microchipped, flea treated, dewormed, vaccinated, and has tested negative for FIV/FeLV. Please apply for this beautiful girlie today!

Trash Cat Rescue's Adoption Policy
Typically the potential adopter reaches out either with or without a specific cat in mind. We will usually ask questions about the type of cat the adopter is interested in (any preferences as far as gender, color, personality, etc.), as well as the sort of home the cat would be going to (any kids, other pets, etc.). If we have a cat or kitten who would be a good fit, the adopter can fill out our application for that animal. If not, the person can still fill out the app, and we will keep them if mind if we end up with a cat who we think would be a good fit. Once the app is reviewed/approved (including checking vet and landlord references), we would chat any further with the adopter if needed, and then schedule a meet and greet with them with the cat or kitten. If the animal and the adopter hit it off, the adopter would then fill out our adoption agreement, pay the adoption fee, and take the cat or kitten home!
