Meet Sophie, an affectionate and talkative eight-year-old who has been a cherished member of our family since December 2025. She shares an incredibly close bond with her sister and is known for her exceptionally friendly personality, always ready to greet you with enthusiasm. Despite her age, Sophie still maintains a playful spirit and finds joy in daily activities; however, she would benefit from shedding a few extra pounds to help her stay active and healthy. Because she has diabetes, Sophie requires two insulin shots a day to manage her condition, but she handles her routine like a champ and remains a sweet, loving companion through it all.

Adoption rates are as follows: Adult dogs (includes a rabies shot/voucher) – $140 Puppies (up to 12 months, includes rabies shot/voucher) – $150 Adult Cats – $85 Kittens (up to 12 months) – $95 Barn cats – $65 Rabbits – $15 Guinea pigs, gerbils, hamsters – $10 Seniors 55 and over adopting a senior critter over 7 years old is FREE with approved adoption application!!! Adoption application is available on our website at bitterroothumane.org
