Sophia's Story

I was wandering outside, lost and confused when a wonderful resident began placing food out for me. Being the social gal that I am, I greeted her with some friendly rubs and purrs. She was concerned about a bump in my tummy and brought me to the humane society for some advice on getting me the medical care I needed. We were in the lobby when all of a sudden I heard a loud BEEP.

Apparently I had something called a microchip, and the staff was overjoyed at the thought of reuniting me with my family. I mean SURELY they would be thrilled to know that their missing kitty had survived a month outside and would be coming home. Sadly, one of my young family members called and stated that my former pawrents did not want me back. I was absolutely heartbroken but knew that I had to move forward. The shelter staff made me feel right at home and I instantly warmed up to my new caretakers.

I enjoy playing with my toys and rubbing up against my humans for some good scratches. Though I am not a fan of my female neighbors I do seem to enjoy interacting with the boys in the room. If you have an adult male cat, we may become great friends! No doggie pals for me those please, those big teeth are scary!

I've been through so much in my life and am looking forward to lazy days in my new home. Be sure to ask about adopting me, Sophia (with a ph)!
