Sophia's Story

Stan, Miles, Blanche & Rose were just 2 weeks old when a homeowner from Tama found them in a window well. They were stone cold. We had just taken in a nursing mom who had just lost her kittens and Sophia was happy to take them. Sophia came from Henry County. She lost her kittens due to anemia from flea bites.<br/>Indoor homes only unless the cat is part of our barn cat program. Home visits are required so we are limit adoptions to approximately 45 minutes from Cedar Rapids, IA. <br/>Iowa adoptions only -no out of state adoptions. <br/>Our Cedar Rapids adoption center is open by appointment only at this time. SAINT Rescue's Adoption Policy

All applicants must be 18 years of age or older. If you rent, the landlord will be contacted, and their approval is required. If your apartment building has a "no-pet" policy, we will not approve an application even though that owner is required to allow a pet with an ESA letter. We limit adoptions to homes in Linn County and adjacent counties. A home visit is required on all adoptions. That is generally conducted when we deliver the cat(s). If you have been convicted of assault, domestic abuse, child or elder endangerment/neglect, interference with official acts - your application will likely be denied. We reserve the right to deny any application.
