Soot is a beautiful female kitten who was brought to the HSOV on April 7, 2026 along with her two siblings (Coal and Smog) after they were found in Marietta Ohio fending for themselves. Soot and her siblings were estimated to have been 8-weeks old at that time.<br/><br/>Soot has a black shorthaired coat which is sprinkled with silvery hairs, a long tail, and an adorable kitten face with golden eyes, nice 'ear furnishings', a black velvet nose, and long black whiskers.<br/><br/>This little sweetheart epitomizes the phrase 'playful as a kitten', and she loves to play silly kitten games with her siblings.<br/><br/>Soot is good with other cats/kittens and also with children.<br/><br/>Soot was given vaccinations and Pyrantel wormer on April 8, 2026. She weighed 1.5 lbs that day.<br/><br/>Soot was taken to a veterinary clinic on May 4th for her spay procedure but was unable to undergo surgery because she had a 'kitty cold'. Soot weighed 2.8 lbs that day.<br/><br/>Soot will be spayed in the near future (tentatively on June 8th.<br/><br/>Soot has an approved adoption application, so she has a loving home waiting for her after she is spayed.<br/><br/>Update: Soot was spayed on May 18, 2026 and was also given rabies vaccine.
