Hi, I’m Soot. My previous family says I’m a very sweet and playful girl once I feel safe and comfortable! I’ve even lived with dogs, cats, kids, and livestock before so I have lots of experience sharing my space with others. What I really need is a patient person who will let me open up at my own pace to let my true, goofy personality shine. Animal Protective Foundation's Adoption Policy

Our dedicated staff and volunteers will help you find the perfect match. Browse the animals online first, or just stop in during our shelter hours. Your first step to adopting a pet is to complete an adoption questionnaire available at the shelter. A FEW THINGS TO KNOW: You must be at least 18 years of age to adopt without a parent or guardian. Bring a form of identification with current address, such as a driver’s license. If renting property or living with a parent, you will be asked to provide proof that pets are allowed. We will contact the homeowner for verification. Once a staff member has reviewed your adopter questionnaire, you can spend some time with the animals. Pets are an important part of the family, so if at all possible, all family members should be part of the process.
