Soot's Story

Meet Soot!! (case #13110)

Soot is an adventurous little guy with a curious spirit and just the right amount of mischief. He's always on the move, making sure he doesn't miss out on anything happening around him. As the least fluffy of the trio, he may have a sleeker coat, but his personality is larger than life!

Climbing is one of Soot's favorite hobbies. Chairs, furniture, tabletops—if there's a higher vantage point to explore, he'll find it. He's also convinced that every glass left unattended is meant for him, so don't be surprised if you catch him trying to sample everyone's drink!

When it's mealtime, Soot is the first to come running the moment he hears it's time for wet food. He approaches life with enthusiasm, whether it's dinner, playtime, or his next adventure.

Even with all that energy, Soot has a wonderfully affectionate side. He loves curling up beside his people, purring loud enough for everyone to hear. He's happiest snuggled close, though if you try to hold him in your lap, he'll politely hop down and settle right back beside you instead. It's his perfect balance of independence and companionship. When he's not exploring, you'll often find him playing with his sister, Salem—they're the best of friends.

Soot has been raised in a busy foster home with his siblings, Salem and Smudge, alongside four children ranging in age from 5 to 14. He's been held, cuddled, carried under an arm during full-speed laps around the house, and included in endless adventures inside play tents, cardboard boxes, and imaginative spaceships built from everyday household items.

He's also grown up with three dogs and is comfortable around them, happily playing if they show interest while always being respectful of their space. Very little rattles this confident little kitten. He has been exposed to all the excitement of a busy household and has developed into a friendly, adaptable companion.

With his playful curiosity, affectionate nature, and fearless confidence, Soot will thrive in just about any home. Whether he's exploring every corner of the house, racing to dinner, or purring beside you after a busy day, Soot is sure to bring laughter, companionship, and plenty of personality to his forever family.

Please complete an adoption request:

https://www.hamilton.ca/home-neighbourhood/animals-pets/adopt-or-foster-pet/adoptions

Animal adoptions and viewing are by appointment only.
