This stunning boy is the definition of a "diamond in the rough" who just needs a patient jeweler to help him shine. The Campaign Platform Soda Pop is running on a platform of patience and play. When you first meet him, he will likely be "canvassing" from under the sofa or behind a curtain. He is extremely shy with new faces and takes his time to vet his human companions. However, once he grants you his "presidential seal of approval," his true personality bubbles over! The Ideal Executive Mansion Soda Pop isn't looking for a fast-paced West Wing; he's looking for a calm, patient sanctuary. His ideal "cabinet" includes: Patience: Humans who understand that his trust is earned, not given, and are willing to give him plenty of weeks (or months) to fully decompress. Feline Colleagues: Soda Pop is a social butterfly with other cats! He gets lonely without a four-legged friend and would love a home with other resident cats to show him the ropes. The Toy Chest: He is a toy connoisseur. From feather wands to crinkle balls, playtime is the fastest way to his heart. The Junior Staff: Despite his shyness with adults, he is surprisingly wonderful with kids of all ages, including small children. Shady's Paw Animal Rescue's Adoption Policy

Potential adopters are encouraged to complete an adoption application. Once an adoption application is submitted, one of our adoption coordinators will reach out for a phone interview. This is an informal conversation to answer any questions or address any concerns that you may have. We will contact references, veterinarians, and complete a video home visit before final approval. This process can take 1-7 days depending on return time of calls. We are a 100% foster-based rescue and do not have a brick-and-mortar location for you to visit. Regular adoption events are held in Winchester VA and Martinsburg WV and beyond. Once approved, you can also request a private meet and greet. Kitties who are not yet spayed / neutered or need additional veterinary care will be placed in foster-to-adopt status with their adopter until their vetting is completed. Your adoption fee helps us to cover less than half of these costs. Additional donations are appreciated!
