Snoopy's Story

All interested people should submit an adoption application as their first step.
Meet Snoopy - our gentle senior with the biggest heart

Snoopy is a true sweetheart who seems to understand that love is the most important thing in life. With his soft, calm nature and affectionate personality, he brings a quiet kind of comfort to everyone he meets. He adores people of all ages and will happily stay close by your side, soaking up pets and giving love right back.

Snoopy has hyperthyroidism and takes daily meds but takes them like a champ! We will gladly talk to potential adopters about what it means to have hyperthyroidism and how it is managed. He is still in the early stages of being diagnosed so we are still working with our vet to get his medication dosage correct. He will likely need routine monitoring in the beginning to make sure his dosage is correct and then need yearly monitoring to make sure that he stays healthy.

Snoopy is looking for a loving home to live his golden years out in. He will give you all the love in return!

Does Snoopy sound like your guy? If so, apply on our website today!

All pets adopted from GDHS are spayed or neutered, have vaccinations brought up to date, are on heartworm preventative (dogs), FIV/FELV tested (cats) and microchipped.
The Greater Derry Humane Society does not have a physical shelter, and all visits are by appointment only.
