Snickolas's Story

My foster writes:
Say hello to Snickolas and Oreo Krispies, a bonded brother-and-sister duo with complementary personalities and plenty of charm. Oreo is the brave big sister who likes to investigate anything interesting, while Snickolas is a little more cautious and prefers to hide first and decide later whether something is safe. Give him a little time, though, and he'll be out and ready for attention!
Oreo is endlessly curious and has a adorable habit of resting her front paws on anything within reach-whether it's a toy, the laundry rack, the water bowl, or even her favorite person. If you're sitting in bed, don't be surprised to find two little paws resting on your hip. She's also a fantastic self-entertainer who especially loves kickers and small toys she can bat around.
Snickolas, meanwhile, is the cuddle bug of the pair. Once he's comfortable, he can never get enough pets, and at night he likes to sleep with his back pressed against your leg. Oreo is a little more independent, but she'll sometimes curl up next to you in bed, too, when she's in the mood
Both siblings are happy to let you know when they want attention with a well-timed meow, and they share a serious appreciation for "cat TV"-especially a good window with something interesting happening outside.
They have their own sibling dynamic, too: Snickolas is often the instigator, occasionally starting a playful tussle by simply sitting on Oreo. They'll sometimes try to spook each other for fun, but they're generally very friendly with one another and are perfectly content to share a windowsill while they supervise the neighborhood.
Together, Snickolas and Oreo are a wonderful balance: a curious, confident little explorer and her affectionate, slightly more cautious brother. They may take a little time to settle into a new environment, but once they do, they'll reward their person with plenty of personality, companionship, and adorable quirks. 🐱🐱

What my friends at ACC say about me:
I am bonded to Oreo Krispies. We must go home together and our adoption fee includes both of us!
Cheek and chin scratches make me so happy!
I am finding the shelter a little overwhelming, but when it's just you and me and some peace and quiet you'll see what a love bug I am.
I can be slow to adjust to new environments. I prefer to take things at my own pace.
I would appreciate slow introductions to new people and places to help me feel safe.
I would do best in a home without very tiny humans, although I could be open to older human children once I meet them.
I prefer to call the shots and enjoy coming to you when I'm ready for pets.
I love to be loved, but on my own terms! Let's brush up on some feline body language together!

A volunteer writes: Oreo Krispies and Snickolas may have a notably limited grasp of personal space as an applied concept, but if personal space with cats isn't a concern or you just get a kick out of watching adult cats barrel into each other with the grace of kittens, they're probably the pair you want to meet. Appearing to be joined at the hip (or the foot, or the ear, or whatever is closest at the moment) they're genuinely thrilled at the prospect of adding more to this party. They sit at the front of their condo like little bookends and excitedly confer with each other after any movement in the room like nosy little pigeons as they wait for someone to join in. Patience may not be one of their interests, specifically Oreo Krispies who dutifully intercepted each pet I tried to share with her brother by nuzzling underneath my hand. He eventually got his turn for cuddles but one thing is for certain, this lovely duo would love to have their turn together and we hope you'll come in and meet them soon.
