Smokey's Story
Meet Smokey!
This shy girl came into our care February 2026 when her owners could not take her with them when they moved. She has not been enjoying shelter life, unfortunately, and would really love for someone to take her home with them! Smokey doesn't show well in her kennel, but she is certainly a sweetheart who just needs some time and patience to warm up. Smokey enjoys tasty snacks, such as lickable Churu treats and canned wet food. She isn't the biggest fan of playing, but she does occasionally get a burst of energy and enjoys some crinkly ball toys when she thinks no one is watching.
Smokey seems frightened of many things, but we do think she would do well with another cat in a home. We have not seen her with dogs but don't think she would enjoy the company of a dog that was very loud or hyper. She seems to do well with children if they are calm, quiet and gentle with her.

Smokey is spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped.
