Slate's Story

SLATE — The Sweet & Sassy Little Queen

Slate may be the quieter one of the two, but don’t mistake her calm nature for being shy. She is a sweet, gentle, affectionate little girl with just the right amount of sass.

Slate loves being petted and held, and she often chooses to come sit right beside you while you relax. She’s perfectly happy simply being near her people and enjoying some quiet companionship.

But there is another side to Slate that comes out when you offer her a wrestling match with your hands or feet... Suddenly, that sweet and gentle little girl turns into a tiny playful tiger! She loves to pounce, wrestle, and show off her kitten skills when she’s in the mood to play.

She also loves Cat TV and interactive toys, and she’ll happily entertain herself watching birds and other critters on the screen or chasing a wand toy around the room. She has that wonderful kitten combination of being affectionate and cuddly while still having plenty of playful energy.

And of course, Slate’s favorite companion is her brother, Jasper.

These two have a strong brother-and-sister bond and we would love to get adopted together. They wrestle, chase each other, groom one another, cuddle, and nap together. Jasper is the more outgoing and chatty one, while Slate is a little quieter and more relaxed—but they complement each other beautifully.

Jasper is an absolute lovebug who will happily ask to be picked up and immediately start purring the moment you hold him. Slate may be a little more reserved about demanding attention, but she is every bit as loving and especially enjoys simply sitting beside her people.

Together, they are a wonderful pair with two very different but equally lovable personalities. They are confident, social, and wonderful around children, and they would bring so much fun, affection, and companionship to their forever home.
