Sky's Story

Meet Sky

Sky is a beautiful 4-year-old Siamese mix looking for a loving new home. She came to us after her previous owner was no longer able to care for her, but it’s clear she was very loved. In their words, “Sky was a very spoiled girl who loved to sit on my lap. She is very independent and curious.”

Since arriving, we’ve learned that Sky is a gentle, sweet girl who absolutely adores pets and attention, once she feels comfortable. She does need a little time to adjust to new surroundings and may hide for a few days at first. The best thing you can do is give her space and let her come out on her own terms. Once she settles in, her affectionate and loving personality really shines.

We have observed Sky around other cats. While she initially hissed, she did not attempt to swat, which tells us she may be able to coexist with other cats given time and a proper introduction. We are unsure how she would do with dogs.

Our staff also noticed that Sky has horizontal nystagmus (a slight movement of the eyes). She was evaluated by our on-site veterinarian, who confirmed that this is a congenital trait commonly seen in Siamese and Oriental breeds and is nothing to be concerned about. Sky is otherwise a very healthy girl.

If you’re looking for a sweet, independent, and affectionate companion who will happily curl up in your lap and soak up all the love you can give, Sky might be the perfect match for you

Come meet Sky and give this beautiful girl the second chance she deserves!
