Skippy 's Story

Meet Skippy!!
Skippy has had a tough journey before finding his way to rescue, but his story is one of resilience and learning to trust again. He was found as a stray in a neighborhood, and when a kind person noticed he was limping and injured, they reached out for help. Once trapped and brought in for care, it became clear Skippy had been struggling outside—he was covered in puncture wounds and clearly couldn’t defend himself well on his own.

After receiving medical care, pain management, and lots of monitoring, Skippy slowly began to heal—both physically and emotionally. At first, he was unsure and lacked confidence, but once he realized that humans bring endless love, pets, and comfort, everything changed.

Now, Skippy is an absolute lovebug who can’t get enough attention. His favorite place in the world is right on your lap, soaking up nonstop pets, cheek scratches, and belly rubs. He’s looking for a quieter home where someone is around often, ready to give him all the affection he craves.

Skippy does well with other cats as long as they are gentle and non-dominant—he prefers calm companions who won’t intimidate or swat at him. That said, he’d also be perfectly happy as the only cat, where he can truly be the center of attention.

He can be a bit vocal and will definitely let you know when he wants more love (which is often!), so he’ll do best with someone who’s ready to give him plenty of time and affection.

Skippy is ready to leave his past behind and find a home where he can feel safe, loved, and adored. If you’re looking for a loyal snuggle buddy, Skippy is your guy!

Once an application is received for a potential adoption, we do a meet and greet with the potential adopter, and do a visit with them with the cat(s) they are interested in, and assure they are a good fit and that the cat/person get along great. Once the meet and greet is over, we discuss with the potential adopter about the adoption timeline and decide if we move forward with the adoption.
