This sweet boy came into rescue after a very kind neighbor noticed him limping and badly injured and reached out for help. We were able to trap Skippy and get him the urgent medical care he desperately needed. He had severe bite wounds, a broken toe, and was severely emaciated.<br/><br/>It took Skippy some time to learn that humans could be trusted again. But once he did... he became one of the most affectionate boys in the world. <br/><br/>Unfortunately, Skippy’s story didn’t end there.<br/><br/>He later survived a devastating house fire at the rescue’s headquarters, a fire that took the home and many lives. Skippy suffered from smoke inhalation effects, but once again, this incredible boy fought his way through — and today, he is recovered, thriving, and ready for his forever home. <br/><br/>And what kind of cat is Skippy?<br/><br/> He is DEMANDING of attention — and he will require a LOT of it!<br/> He has a nonstop purr box and absolutely loves curling up in a lap.<br/> When he is especially happy and content, he drools while purring up a storm! <br/> He loves to snuggle and wants to be close to his people.<br/> Skippy enjoys other cats, especially gentle, kind cats who won't hiss or swat at him. Those behaviors intimidate him.<br/> He is great with kids!<br/> No dogs, please.
