Skipper's Story

Ahoy there!

My name’s Skipper, and I’ve weathered a few storms to get here.

I didn’t always have it smooth sailing. After being put out of my home, I found myself living on a boat in a driveway, doing my best to stay safe. Eventually, I made my way to Faithful Friends, pretty under the weather. Thanks to their care, I’m now feeling shipshape! I was adopted and returned through no fault of my own. The other senior cat in the home did not enjoy my playful nature, and I would do best in a home as a solo cat.

Now let me tell you what kind of first mate I am...

I’m incredibly sweet, affectionate, and love being around people. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will happily keep you company, I’m your guy. I love to play with toys and will throw them around and chirp happily. I also love gentle pets, cozy spots, and being near my humans.

So if you’re ready to welcome a friendly, loving sailor into your life, I promise to be the best companion you could ask for.

Skipper is neutered, combo-tested negative, dewormed, treated with Revolution, and is up-to-date on vaccinations. The adoption fee is $125

**Important**

The first step in the adoption process is to submit an adoption application, which can be located and submitted online, on our website: www.faithfulfriendsnc.org/adopt

Once your completed-in-full application has been submitted, the humans will review it. If the humans have questions or want to set up an appointment for you to meet one of us, they will contact you. Please read all guidelines before sending in an application. Please read before applying. We place our animals—many from neglectful or abusive backgrounds—only in safe, responsible homes. Basic requirements include up-to-date vet care for current/past pets (Rabies, Distemper, annual exams, heartworm prevention for dogs), safe housing, and a vet reference check from all clinics used in the last 10 years. Renters must provide landlord approval. First-time adopters ages 21–25 may need additional info. You must apply for a specific animal and complete the application fully. Approved applicants will be contacted to schedule a meet & greet; we cannot provide status updates due to high volume.
