Skiff's Story

Ahoy, matey! My name is Skiff, though my foster affectionately calls me “Uncle Skiff” due to my penchant for taking young whippersnappers under my tutelage. I was born at sea with my siblings on a chilly voyage, but I’ve since traded my seafaring ways for the comforts of life as a landlubber.

I sail well with other cats and even dogs! Turns out, canine crewmates are quite useful when it comes to plundering extra snacks. I also know my way around a rope and enjoy practicing my skills to keep them shipshape.

But my true calling? Snuggling. I take my cuddling duties very seriously and am seeking a permanent sailing partner to share the responsibilities. Fair warning: I tend to snuggle so close that you may mistake me for a barnacle. Personal space is a foreign concept to me, and once I’ve latched on, I’m not easily dislodged!

In exchange for my complete and utter devotion, I graciously accept payment in the form of scratches, snacks, and an unlimited supply of cozy laps.

So, what say ye? Ready to welcome a little first mate aboard? I promise to keep your heart warm, your lap occupied, and your ship free of loneliness!

His estimated birthday is 6/10/2026. He is vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, fecal tested negative, FIV/FELV tested negative, and on monthly flea/tick/heartworm prevention.

Apply to adopt at www.fortheloveofjanerescue.com/adoptions
