Sir George's Story
Name: Sir George
Breed: Domestic Short Hair
Sex: Neutered Male
Age: 4.5 years
Weight: 11.5 lbs
Animal Number: 4692

Friendly, Cuddly, Chill, Lap Cat and Biscuit Making Love Muffin - Has Medical Needs

Good with dogs? Sir George would prefer smaller dogs, or just one respectful large dog at a time, maybe two if they are quite peaceful.

Good with cats? Yes, he is very cat friendly and loves to play with other kitties! He loves to run around the house, chase and be chased by the energetic cat in his foster home, and is also very respectful and mindful of the more mellow cat who does not always want to play.

Good with kids? Sir George has not met any kids, but he may love them since he’s so gentle and loves to snuggle and be the center of attention!

Energy level: Medium. He definitely has a playful side and likes anything that dangles or that he can bat around, or kicker toys. He has balanced energy and also really loves to lay around and be a cuddly boy!

Medical needs: Sir George had full mouth extractions of his teeth following stomatitis, a painful inflammatory disease of the mouth. He does not like wet food and does well when eating kibble in water or even just plain kibble. He loves drinking water! He was very good at taking medicine when he needed to.

Sir George is FIV +. FIV is a feline-only retrovirus that affects a cat’s immune system. He is currently asymptomatic and in good health. An adopter should be aware that FIV can make a cat more vulnerable to other medical issues because their immune system is not as strong as an FIV negative cat. FIV is not transferable to humans or dogs and can only be transferred to other cats through a deep cat bite, which is not a concern for George, due to him not having any teeth left.

Animal Characteristics: Sir George is a very cuddly, friendly, total lovebug! He is an adorable ham who just wants to be around people as much as he can. He was rescued from outdoor life and is absolutely loving safe, cozy, affection-filled indoor house life! He’s very chill and go-with-the-flow, adjusting to new situations with ease and comfort. Sir George loves to lay on your lap or right next to you, soaking up all the attention and love he possibly can. He loves laying by you more than being picked up and held, but he allows that too! He is a STAR at meeting new people! Sir George is a precious love muffin who is ready to snuggle in his forever home!

Please learn more about the adoption process and fill out an application at www.pawsco.org/adopt/adoption-process. My adoption fee is $125. You can also contact my friends at PawsCo at adopt@pawscoadoptions.org if you have questions. I look forward to meeting you!
