Simba's Story

Simba is an estimated 5-year-old long-haired gentleman with a heart just as beautiful as his fluffy coat. Despite not always receiving the care he deserved in the past, Simba has proven to be incredibly loving, resilient, and ready for a fresh start.

Prior to coming into rescue, Simba suffered severe damage to one of his eyes which ultimately required surgical removal. Thankfully, he has healed wonderfully and doesn't let it slow him down one bit! In true Simba fashion, he has embraced the good life and is more interested in soaking up affection, enjoying his wet food, and lounging comfortably with his people.

This handsome boy absolutely loves attention. He enjoys being petted, gives adorable headbutts, and will occasionally offer gentle little “love bites” when he's especially happy. Simba is also a fan of toys and enjoys relaxing as a lap cat while spending time with his humans.

Simba is currently fostered with other cats and shows interest in them, though he tends to back down if they are too assertive or hiss at him. He would likely do best with calmer feline companions or as the center of attention in his own home. He is not particularly fond of dogs but can tolerate being in the same room with a respectful one.

Because of his gorgeous long coat, Simba will require regular grooming to help prevent matting. When he arrived in rescue, several severely matted areas had to be shaved due to neglect. Thankfully, he tolerates grooming well and is feeling much better now that his coat is being properly maintained.

Simba is neutered, fully vaccinated, dewormed, flea treated, and ready to find a forever family who will cherish him the way he deserves.
