She may not be the first cat to run up and greet you, but for the right person, watching her slowly come out of her shell will be incredibly rewarding. Silvy is a curious girl who enjoys toys, tasty treats, and the comfort of a calm environment.<br/><br/>As a true wallflower, Silvy is a sensitive and nervous gal who can be easily overwhelmed by new people, unfamiliar environments, and loud noises. She prefers to take things at her own pace and will need a patient adopter who understands that building trust is a journey. Her ideal adopter will give her the patience, understanding, and support she needs to feel safe and secure.<br/><br/>Once comfortable, Silvy's sweet personality begins to shine. She loves treats, is very food motivated, and enjoys playing with toys. She has done well with other cats and may enjoy a feline companion to share her days with. She also has some experience coexisting with calm dogs, so may do okay with a relaxed canine buddy. Silvy is looking for a calm home with adults or teens 13+ who can respect her boundaries while helping her build confidence. Due to behaviors observed in both the home and shelter environment, she will require a behavior consultation prior to adoption.
