Silas's Story

This handsome, LOVING, playful fellow sneaked through one of our foster's cat doors looking for food! Just shows what a smart boy he is!
He had two terrible ear infections and was scared, dirty, and very skinny!

It has been a joy watching him recover! Now he just wants non-stop pets, love, and play!
It is difficult to describe how sweet, affectionate, and desperate for company and love he is!
Silas follows his foster mom around chattering and chirping! Clearly he is so relieved to be off the street! Obviously his instincts were good - it just shows what a smart cat he is!

Silas loves to sit on your lap, and is always reaching out to hold your arm or put a paw on you. Initially, he was a bit shy, but incredibly sweet! Now that he knows the good life, he just wants attention all the time!

Silas gets along great with other cats and is very gentle so would probably be good with children. He has not been around a dog yet.

Silas is estimated to be about 3 years old. Because he was living outdoors, he has tested positive for FIV. But don't despair! FIV only means his immune system is not as strong as a cat without FIV. With good care and food, FIV cats can live long, wonderful lives. It is not contagious to humans. It is passed to other cats usually by a deep bite wound. It is NOT passed through sharing litter boxes, food or water dishes, or grooming one another. Because Silas is friendly and gentle with other cats, he should be able to live with other felines safely.

Silas is waiting for you to take him home! Don't wait!
