Millions of animals are euthanized in shelters every  year and our foster animals have been abandoned or dumped at least once by their former owners. Animals First rescues these innocents and temporarily shelters them in foster homes until the right match can be found. To ensure that these animals truly find their forever home we have an application process that includes reference and vet checks, telephone interviews,  and home visits.    Adoption Requirements An application must be submitted prior to meeting the animal The personal and vet references will be checked. We do not adopt to "outside only" homes. Some dogs may require a fenced in yard A home visit will be conducted by an Animals First representative  so that we can confirm that the animal will have acceptable living conditions. A contract must be signed at the time of the adoption.  Our adoption donation fe
