Mr. Shrimp is the politest little gentleman you'll ever meet. He loves sitting prim and proper by the windowsill watching neighbors and birds go by. He's an extremely curious explorer who wants to inspect the lay of the land and watch whatever's going on out the window for hours. When done window watching, he loves to sunbathe and lounge around his designated Shrimp Spots aka anyplace cozy and warm.<br/><br/>Shrimp LOVES vertical space and jumping up to high perches, especially getting to the top of his cat tree or held up high over your shoulders. He would do best with clear paths to jump up on because he's too polite to knock things over or jump onto a cluttered counter. He doesn't knock things over or get into places he shouldn't be because he's a proper gentleman. When it comes to toys, he loves anything feathery that he can play hide and seek with- especially wand toys and his tunnel!<br/><br/>He absolutely loves cheek and neck scritches and can be distracted from almost anything if cheek scritches or booty pats are involved! He rubs up for morning cuddles and afterwards spends the day doing his own thing in proximity of whatever you're doing. Not a true lap cat, but loves being nearby at all times, giving affectionate headbutts, following you around, and accepting lots of pets (on his time). <br/><br/>Like a true gentleman Shrimp's thrives with a great routine- he enjoys being fed breakfast and dinner around the same time, has good litterbox habits, and even sleeps through the night. He is well-behaved, even when left home by himself because he knows his meals are coming and feels secure. He is very treat motivated and will come running if he even hears the Churu or Temptations packet rustle- which comes in handy for grooming or car travel! <br/><br/>Shrimp doesn't have the best social skills with other cats and dogs, and will do best in a home alone with humans who can dedicate playtime or give him an enriched environment that allows him to explore and climb and sunbathe. Shrimp has been rehomed multiple times due to divorce, death, illness, and moving within his families. Shrimp deserves for his next home to be his forever home.
