SHIRLEY's Story

After the death of her human mom her Aunt came to take care of her and her sister Laverne. She lived a long ways away and needed to find a home for the sisters. Her human mom was very scared about bringing her to a rescue as her sister loved the two very much. She had taken care of them for a while and did not want anything bad to happen. She brought them to the rescue for us to care for and after receiving a tour said I am so happy that your rescue is like a home not an institution. Shirley is very timid and shy and usually hangs out inside a cubby. She will not seek attention but if you give it to her she enjoys it.

Kossuth County Tails of Hope Rescue's Adoption Policy
We hope you’ve found your newest family member at our shelter! Next you will fill out an adoption application. You can apply online! If your application is approved, we will arrange for you and your new family member to unite fur-ever! We require adopters to fill out an online application. Once that is submitted our adoption coordinator does social checks, home checks, financial checks and reference checks to determine if the adopter meets qualifications. If an adopter rents their home they are required to provide proof of approval for animals from their landlord.
