Shinx's Story

Meet Shinx!
Shinx has been through quite a journey to get to where he is today. He came to House of Misfits with head trauma that was causing seizures. Thankfully, as he grew, those seizures eventually stopped.
Then came a nasty deep inner-ear infection that initially went unnoticed because it didn’t present with the typical signs. One day, Shinx woke up from a nap with a slight head tilt. He was seen by our veterinary team and started treatment, but despite treating the ear infection, he continued to tilt his head and became increasingly quiet and unwell.
Back to the drawing board we went, and we made the decision to treat him for FIP. The response was incredible. Within just 24 hours of starting treatment, Shinx perked right back up! He was playing, purring, chirping, and walking without the wobbliness we had been seeing. He sailed through treatment like a champ, with just one little souvenir from his journey...a permanent head tilt.
Honestly, we think it makes him even more adorable.
Shinx is about 8 months old and is a total sweetheart. He absolutely loves his people and enjoys having feline friends to play with. We think he would be happiest in a home with another playful cat to keep him company. He also has experience with small dogs and thinks they’re pretty great, too!
After everything this little guy has overcome, Shinx is ready for the part of his story we’ve been waiting for: his forever home.
