Shiloh's Story

Hi, I'm Shiloh!

I'm a 5-year-old house panther with beautiful green eyes, an adorable little notched ear, and a soft side that I save for the people who take the time to earn it.

I'll admit, I'm a little hesitant when meeting new people. You might find me watching you from the safety of a cozy hiding spot at first-and I'd much rather get to know you before we start acting like lifelong best friends. But I've got a secret: treats and love are the way to my heart.
Once I realize you're someone I can trust, I start to let that guarded little exterior down. I'm looking for a patient person who understands that some cats need a little extra time to feel safe-and that earning the love of a shy kitty can make it feel that much more special.

I'm also FIV+, but please don't let those three letters scare you away! FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus) affects a cat's immune system, but many FIV+ cats live long, happy, normal lives with good nutrition, routine veterinary care, and an indoor lifestyle. FIV is primarily spread between cats through deep bite wounds, so FIV+ cats can even live successfully with FIV-negative cats when everyone gets along and there's no fighting. I still have all the same love, purrs, and companionship to give as any other kitty!
I may not be the girl who throws herself into your arms the first time we meet. I'm more of a slow-burn romance kind of lady. Give me a little time, a few treats, and plenty of kindness, and you might just find yourself becoming one of my favorite people.
