Sheila's Story

Hi, I'm Sheila!

I'm a curious, independent girl with a friendly side that shines once I've had a little time to settle in. New people don't bother me much, and I'm happy to meet visitors and see what they're all about. However, new places can be a little overwhelming at first. When I arrived here, I was pretty scared, but with patience and time, I found my confidence. Because of that, I'll need an adopter who understands that I may need an adjustment period before I feel completely at home.

I've lived with other cats before and have done well with feline friends, so I may enjoy sharing my home with another cat. When it comes to people, I like affection on my terms. I enjoy some petting, but I'm not the type to cuddle for hours. I also definitely prefer to keep all four paws on the ground rather than being carried around. I'm very good at letting you know when I've reached my petting limit, so a home with adults or older, cat-savvy children would be the best fit for me.

My favorite things? Feather toys and tuna! Wave a feather wand around, and you'll see my playful side come to life. Offer me a tasty tuna treat, and you'll be well on your way to winning my heart.

If you're looking for a confident, entertaining companion who values her independence but still enjoys being part of the family, I just might be the perfect match. Give me a little time, a little understanding, and I'll show you what a wonderful cat I can be.

P.S. I also qualify for the Welcome Trial program, which means you can take me home for up to 14 days to make sure I'm the perfect fit before making things official. ...
