Sheba's Story

Sheba is a sweet (but shy) 8 year-old cat. She was adopted out three years ago and sadly returned to FUR in November 2024 when her adopters' living situation changed. Then she was adopted in January 2025 but returned in February 2025 because she did not get along with the resident cat.

With so many changes in such a short time, it is no wonder that Sheba is gun shy.

Since she has been at FUR she has really come out of her shell. She no longer hides, but very comfortably exists with the other cats. She does prefer to take her meals separately from the rest, as there is just a little too much commotion at dinner time. She recently underwent a summer shave to remove some stubborn mats that were impacting her comfort, and she simply blossomed after that.

She takes a while to feel comfortable with new people and situations, but she loves head pets, neck scritches, and brushing! While she does get along with the other cats at FUR, she most likely would want to be the alpha cat in her new home.
