Shasta is 8 years old, white, wonderfully chunky, and quietly trying to understand how he ended up here.<br/><br/>His person had to move into memory care through no fault of anyone, just one of those heartbreaking turns that life sometimes takes, and Shasta found himself somewhere unfamiliar, missing someone he loved, and not entirely sure why. <br/><br/>We are so glad he landed with us. He deserved a soft landing, and he got one.<br/>Shasta is a quiet love bug. He is not loud about his affection, and he does not demand attention, but he gives it freely once he settles in.<br/><br/>He is a big, solid, gentle presence, the kind of cat who makes a house feel a little more lived-in just by being in it. Shasta did not do anything wrong. He just loved someone, and that person needed care that he could no longer provide. Now he is hoping someone will love him the same way.<br/><br/>He is quiet.
