Shady (FeLV+)'s Story
***Sharonville Location***

Shady came to us from another rescue organization after the entire litter tested negative for FeLV…except her. She was immediately separated from her siblings in hopes of keeping them free of the virus which is contagious. Our rescue has since tested her twice with the Triple Snap test and each time she was faintly positive. We gave it another four weeks and had a highly specific blood test performed at Animal Care Center which sadly also returned the faint positive diagnosis.

Shady is ready to move forward and start a new life, in spite of her diagnosis. She is spunky and playful and will likely live out her life without incident or outwardly appearance that she even has the virus. Routine bloodwork and check ups will be important though to catch any type of cancer or abnormalities as she gets older. She should be an only cat or live in a home with another FeLV cat.

Please consider making an appointment to see if Shady would be the right fit for your family.

*Must be 21 or older to adopt
**Our shelter has a policy to only adopt within a 50 mile radius so that if problems arise, the pet can easily be returned to our shelter.
