Shadow's Story

**More photos to come!**

Meet Shadow! Shadow is a 5 year old spayed female Domestic Shorthair cat. She may look a little familiar to you - her brother, Axel, was recently at the shelter searching for a new home as well. It is now Shadow's turn to find that perfect family!
Shadow was surrendered to us through no fault of her own due to a new family member being allergic to her. They tried everything they could to make it work out, but eventually decided to let Shadow find a better fit where she could truly settle in. Shadow is an incredibly smart girl, and she's feeling pretty overwhelmed in this new environment. She's never shown us any aggression, but we can tell she's stressed and she prefers to hide when strangers are around. In a calmer home, when she's out of the chaotic shelter, she will do so much better and show you her loving side!
Shadow has been around kids, dogs, and other cats before and did fine with them all. With her being on the timid side, rambunctious children or dogs that can't respect her space may not be a good fit. We recommend a meet and greet with all family members to make sure your home is the right match for this sensitive girl.
Shadow is declawed in her front paws. For her safety, she cannot be allowed to roam outdoors as she cannot defend herself.
Shadow is litter box trained and has received her first round of vaccinations. She is beyond ready to break out of the shelter and back into a loving home! If you think Shadow could be the cat for you, come out and meet her today!
