Shadow's Story

Shadow came with two other beautiful tuxedo babies when their dad was about to experience homelessness. A kind neighbor stepped up to assist and had already found homes for many cats, paying for their spaying and neutering herself. Shadow is still warming up to us, but we know he will be a wonderful addition to our family once he is comfortable. He is a male cat who needs a bit of time to warm up to new people and surroundings. With patience and love, we are confident that Shadow will soon show his true personality and bring joy into our lives.

Johnstown Animal Welfare Society's Adoption Policy

Adopters have to complete an application that includes personal references and a veterinary reference. I have volunteers that check on the references, and we confirm that they have properly vetted prior pets. They also have to detail other pets in their current household, and confirm that they will not declaw.
