Sevrin's Story

Meet Sevrin -- a handsome gray guy with a bold personality and a survivor's spirit. 🐾

Before coming to us, Sevrin was living the neighborhood life. Unfortunately, the other cats in the area weren't very kind to him, and he ended up getting picked on quite a bit. A caring person stepped in and brought him to the shelter so he could finally have a chance at something better.

Sevrin enjoys attention, but very much on his own terms. He's not the type of cat who wants constant cuddles or to be fussed over all day. Instead, he's the kind of independent soul who likes a little space, a little respect, and a place where he can simply be himself.

Because of that, we think Sevrin might thrive in a barn, shop, or farm setting where he can live comfortably, keep an eye on things, and enjoy human company when he chooses. Cats like Sevrin often make wonderful working cats, helping keep rodents in check while still having a safe place to call home.

He's not looking for tea parties and dress-up days. He's looking for a purpose, a place to roam, and people who appreciate a cat with a little grit and independence.

If you have a barn, shop, or property that could use a hardworking feline with personality, Sevrin might just be your guy. 🐾An adoption application can be filled out on the DHS website https://www.dekalbhumanesociety.org/adopt. Dog adoption fees are $250.00 for all puppies and adult dogs. Seniors are a donation of choice.
Cats and kittens are minimum donation $50.00
