Serena's Story

Serena is a 12-year-old (8/2/2011) Siamese cat who has spent her whole life being a loving, devoted lap cat to her recently passed previous owners. Despite the uncertainty and tumult of this experience, Serena has shown nothing but love and affection for anyone and everyone who has spent time with her during her transition into her current foster home.

She is a calm girl, who likes to chat quietly with you while you prepare her food. Serena enjoys sitting next to you or laying on your lap while watching tv on the couch. She is accustomed to the bustling in-and-outs of nurses and visitors as her previous owners were in an assisted living complex and so doesn’t shy away from guests– though we still think her preference would be for a quiet home. She is easily convinced to purr with a gentle scratch behind her ear and a few pets and she has so much love to give.

While Serena doesn’t have any experience with dogs or small children, we believe that she would do well in a house with another cat provided introductions are gradual and planned. She has also been thriving as a solo cat for the last several years and would continue to do well in similar circumstances.

Serena is spayed, current on her vaccinations, and has a glowing review of health from her previous vet. She was previously diabetic but has been in remission for the past few months. Her vet is confident that she will remain that way so long as her current diet continues.

Want to meet her to see if you'll fall in love?
