Scout/Adoption Pending's Story
Four-year-old Scout came into our care after her owners moved into no-pet housing. She is a very sweet and outgoing kitty. She previously lived with other cats and gets along well with the other kitties in her foster home. Her foster family says she is a wonderful companion. She has been diagnosed with Diabetes, and we are looking for a foster-to-adopt home for her. She will need insulin injections twice a day as well as ongoing monitoring. The injections are very easy to give and we would be happy to show an adopter how to do it. West Street Veterinary Clinic in Medfield has very generously offered to sponsor Scout for the first year after her adoption by covering the cost of insulin, syringes, and glucose monitoring, provided it is done at the clinic.

The first step in our adoption process is to fill out an application at https://www.medfieldshelter.com/adoption-forms/cat.

If you are ready to adopt, please fill out an adoption application. We offer same-day adoptions, so if the cat is a fit, you can take them home the day of your meeting.

If a cat is listed on our website, it is still available for adoption, but applications may have been received before yours.

All adoption meetings are by appointment only. The adoption fee for cats seven months to two years old is $250 for one cat and $350 for a pair; for cats three years to ten years old, it is $200 for one cat and $300 for a pair; and for senior cats 11 years and over, it is $125. The fee includes age-appropriate vaccines, deworming, microchip testing, testing for FeLV and FIV, and spaying/ neutering.
