Schnitzel's Story

Schnitzel Male black DSH Approximately 2 years old This handsome guy was found as a stray and brought into a local veterinary clinic. He was not fixed and covered in scabs from fleas. Thankfully, these are two very easy fixes and he was promptly treated for fleas and neutered as the first steps in his journey to a forever home. He has become very fond of being inside in the warmth and having all of the food, water, and attention he needs. He is a talkative guy when he sees you and enjoys his head rubs. He's a gentle and talkative guy who is looking for a safe place to call home. Schnitzel has lived with other cats and a small dog (11 lbs). He has been around a calm large dog (70 lbs) and did not seem to mind at all! Location: He is currently residing at the Happy Cat Cafe (www.happycatgr.com) if you would like to meet him. Medical: All cats are spayed/neutered, current on age appropriate vaccines (rabies and distemper), microchipped, given flea/tick prevention and dewormer, FIV/FeLV tested, and any other veterinary care that is needed prior to adoption. ~We do not adopt to homes with animals who are not spayed or neutered unless there is a valid reason such as vet recommendation. ~We do check references including landlord if you rent and your vet both past and present. ~We do not adopt to homes that plan on declawing the cat we have adopted out to you or that plan on letting a cat outside (unless on a leash and harness under owner's continued observation). ~If we see something on your application that we are concerned about, we will always try and have a conversation with you to find out the why. We understand you might have declawed a cat in the past or had to rehome an animal. It can happen to anyone. We like to dig deeper and won't deny someone just based on surface information.
